Hey lovelies! This is my blog dedicated to my health and fitness journey!
If I could share one piece of knowledge with you that I’ve had to learn the hard way it’s that - sometimes self-care is not about immediate gratification, but long term health.
Sometimes you have to cut a toxic friend or partner out and at first it hurts like hell, but it increases your future sense of serenity ten fold. Sometimes you have to skip on that next Netflix episode so you can get a bit of extra sleep and get through your week with more energy and mental clarity. Sometimes you have to choose healthier foods, because even though it might not taste as great as cake, your hormones and internal environment will be more balanced and set you up for long term happiness. Sometimes you have to give up a bit of time to go see a mental health professional and even though it’s not fun or enjoyable, overtime you notice a huge difference in your resilience and self-love. Don’t get me wrong, there is a place for short term gratification in self-care, but make sure that you’re not sacrificing long term happiness and health through unbalanced indulgence.

Hype yourself up!!! You don’t need to rely on others to feel good about you. There’s nothing wrong with being confident in yourself.

When your head hits the pillow tonight, remind yourself that you’ve done a good job. You are headed down your path at your own pace, and with every obstacle you are trying your utmost best. Be patient with yourself, and remember that big things are achieved not all at once, but one day at a time.
